Recommend for a city holiday
Comfortable room, convenient location, where I enjoyed fresh eggs for breakfast thanks to the lovely chickens and felt secure while going for a run nearby.

I loved how Friday night they stocked the fridge with goodies for all of us, and having a bus to Palm Springs nearby was super convenient! The leisure area was a chill spot, perfect for winding down after a day of exploring. The TV room was cozy for relaxing. It did feel a bit empty when I first arrived, but don't let that stop you—it's truly a gem! 🌟

will definitely go again next time
I stayed in a 6-bed mixed dormitory room for 3 nights. The place had air conditioning, a shared bathroom, lockers, and even a kitchen with a microwave and stovetop. Staff were super nice and welcoming, which made the vibe feel like home. Plus, there's parking available, which is a big deal since public transport is pretty lacking around here.

The six-bed mixed dormitory room had a charming garden with chickens that added a bit of unique character, and there was even an adorable kitten around. The location was convenient for hiking in Joshua Tree National Park, but the overall vibe felt sketchy, and not everyone had a pleasant experience, with some mentioning a troubling atmosphere. It's important to be aware of mixed reviews when considering a stay here.

The hostel exudes a charming, eclectic vibe, making it feel like a cozy home away from home, with a lovely garden that adds a touch of nature for everyone to enjoy.
More privacy in rooms would be better.

The eclectic vibe really made my stay unique.
Felt a home here, nothing to complain about.

missingWrote a review on 17 Juneclectic vibebeautiful gardenprivacy issue
The eclectic vibe stands out as a unique charm, blending a relaxed atmosphere with interesting decor. I noticed the beautiful garden area, perfect for unwinding after a long day.
Unfortunately, the reservation process left much to be desired. I was informed that the car I reserved was actually a sleeping arrangement, and there wasn't clarity on the payment options (like Venmo only). The room itself lacked complete privacy, as the walls didn't extend to the ceiling, allowing sounds from other areas to intrude. I also dealt with a lumpy mattress and a cat roaming around that woke me up during the night. Plus, the cleanliness of the shared bathroom was below par, which was a letdown.

It was a good pick for a couple of nights in Desert Hot Springs with the best value for money ratio. The staff were super accommodating, letting us use the fridge for our snacks. Make sure to bring your own sheets!
